The new Carbon Reduction Commitment, CRC, will introduce statutory requirements for businesses to reduce their Carbon footprint through Energy efficiency, Carbon trading and other Energy and Carbon management schemes.

Estimates put the benefit to participants around £1 Billion by 2020.

Envantage’s Carbon Reduction Commitment services are designed to save your organisation money through enhancing energy efficiency, energy price negotiation and the new Carbon Reduction Commitment ‘Emissions Trading’ scheme.

Your organisation may qualify for Carbon Reduction Commitment schemes if, during 2008, you have :-

• At least one half hourly electricity meter (HHM) settled on the half hourly market across your whole organisation.
• A total half hourly electricity consumption of at least 6,000 megawatt-hours (equates to electricty spend of over £500,000 per annum).
