Background

H.I. Quality Steel Castings produces high integrity castings of all sizes for worldwide export and use in the most demanding industrial applications. Such energy intensive industries in the UK can benefit from relief schemes that protect them from added charges on electricity bills, so that they remain competitive in international markets. Eligibility criteria and reporting structures can be complex, but the financial benefits are often substantial.

Solution & Outcome

Envantage carried out eligibility assessments, data management, calculations and all of the reporting required within the compensation and exemption schemes relating to the Renewables Obligation (RO) and Feed-In Tariff (FIT) charges, under the Electricity Market Reform.

Envantage’s expert team co-ordinated the application with BEIS (Department for Business Energy & Industrial Strategy), using its detailed knowledge of the complex scheme rules and application process, including partial eligibility.

This detailed, consultative liaison and carefully managed application successfully secured more than £100,000 per annum in compensation payments.

“Envantage fully met our expectations during our compensation application and we are delighted to have been awarded the claim. Their knowledge of the scheme is excellent and it has been a pleasure to work with them.”
