Envantage is pleased to announce our new partnership with the Aluminium Federation (ALFED), taking on the role of official administrator for the Climate Change Agreement (CCA) scheme within the aluminium sector, starting January 2026.
As the appointed administrator, Envantage will oversee all aspects of CCA management and reporting on behalf of ALFED members. This includes data collection, audit liaison, and member communications with the Environment Agency. We will also provide technical guidance, regular updates, and dedicated webinars to help members navigate the compliance process with confidence.
This collaboration follows a detailed review of sector needs and the government’s updated guidance for Phase 3 by ALFED. Our aim is to ensure a seamless transition, continued access to Climate Change Levy (CCL) savings, and ongoing support for members seeking to improve energy efficiency and carbon performance through to 2033.
Supporting aluminium sector members through change
Envantage brings extensive experience in UK industrial energy management and carbon reduction schemes, including administration of Climate Change Agreements for other sectors. Working alongside ALFED, we are committed to ensuring members benefit from high-quality support, accurate compliance, and measurable savings.
Nadine Bloxsome, Chief Executive of ALFED, said:
“The CCA remains a vital mechanism for energy-intensive industries like aluminium to manage costs while driving improvements in efficiency and carbon performance. Partnering with Envantage will give members access to high-quality expertise and help ensure a compliant and smooth transition into Phase 3 of the scheme.”
Next steps for ALFED members
The next phase of the CCA opens new opportunities for aluminium businesses not yet participating in the scheme. Companies involved in extrusion, finishing, and recycling could all be eligible for substantial energy tax savings under the new framework.
If your business uses significant amounts of electricity or natural gas in eligible processes and you’re unsure whether you qualify, we encourage you to review your eligibility.
